Chiangmai Highlands officially opened in 2005. It was designed by the world-renowned golf course architecture firm Schmidt-Curley Design.
The course was built on land once inhabited by the revered northern monk, Kruba Sriwichai, giving the site a spiritual and serene atmosphere. It is located in the Mae On district of Chiang Mai, surrounded by beautiful mountain scenery.
Since its opening, Chiangmai Highlands has received widespread acclaim and numerous awards as one of the best golf courses in Asia. It was named “Best New Golf Course in Asia” by Asian Golf Monthly magazine and has consistently earned other accolades such as “Best Value for Money Golf Course in Asia” and “One of the Top 3 Golf Courses in Thailand” by the Asian Golf Awards. These honors reflect the course’s world-class quality and service.
Currently, Chiangmai Highlands has a total of 27 holes.
The course originally opened as an 18-hole layout and was highly popular. It was later expanded with an additional 9 holes, bringing the total to 27. The three courses—Course A (Highlands), Course B (Valley), and Course C (Mountain)—each have a unique design and environment, offering a variety of challenges and enhancing the overall experience for golfers.
